Although I have an appreciation for all guitars, I am absolutely obsessed with the Fender Stratocaster guitar. The look, the feel, and most importantly the seemingly endless spectrum of sounds these guitars produce.
From the first ones produced by Leo and company in 1954 to the modern-day Stratocasters, this guitar is arguably the most recognized guitar in the world. Many amazing artists have helped propel the Stratocaster to this iconic position. Players like Hendrix, Vaughn, Bonamassa, Gilmore, Guy, Frusciante, Clapton, Harrison, Valens, Malmsteen, Cray, and Dale are just some of the greats and the list goes on and on. However, I believe it always comes back to the Strat itself. How else could so many people play the same guitar and create so many different sounds and genres of music? This guitar must be magic!
In its many configurations the Stratocaster can produce any guitar sound you could ever want - sounds from melodic clarity to barn burning blues and everything in between.
Over time we’ll talk about some of the different models through show and tell. We’ll take them apart and look at the insides. We’ll discover innovations and failures. You’ll see this guitar featured many times throughout our website with demonstrations, articles and more.
I’m excited and I hope all of you are as well. We’re just getting started so come back and visit us often so you don’t miss anything.
If you are also a fan of the Stratocaster, we would love to hear from you. If you’re not already a fan, there is a strong chance you’re going to change your mind!
